I can get you the obituary or online link.  However, it's not written yet.
I'll stay on top of that.

Summary of Chucks highlights:  CO of HS-11, as Paul mentioned; CO of HS-1;
CO of USS Austin (LPD-4); and CO of a 4th command (ashore)--can't remember
the name right now.  After retirement, he was the manager of flight
simulator operations for the HS Wing in JAX.

It's my sad duty to inform you that another member of the "HS-11 Wardroom"
has left us.  CAPT Chuck Fries passed away peacefully, Thursday
evening--April 3rd, at his home in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL--he was 90.

His memorial service will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 as follows:

Graveside service (only):  11:00 AM
