[Bigiron] USS Midway April 29, 1975

Official Navy Photo from USS Midway April 29, 1975-Operation Frequent
Wind-Evacuation of Saigon-Midway and several other ships(Huge number of
ships involved) stripped their airwings to support this helicopter rescue
operation while Enterprise and her airwing CVW-14 flew support for the
helicopter evacuation. Enterprise lost a A-7(VA-27 OPS) from VA-27 in the
operation during these support operations which HS-2(Pete Fylnn and Little
Layton Getsinger on the Bubbas)) rescued the pilot. The US Ambassador to SVN
waited way too long to authorize this whole operation.
